Shockwave

Shockwave therapy uses high-powered sound waves to trigger tissue repair.
Shockwaves have been shown to stimulate bone and tendon healing, reduce inflammation and desensitise nerves.
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, safe and highly effective treatment method, primarily for tendon pain .
Research has shown success rates of between 70-80%.
The treatment itself is relatively quick and lasts approximately 5-10 minutes.
During treatment you should expect to feel some moderate discomfort, however this can be adjusted to suit each patient.
Shockwave therapy will only be issued once a diagnosis has been achieved and will always be issued alongside a rehabilitation programme.
